The Shop

Inside our Brooklyn upholstery shop, ideas take shape around the worktable—one chair, cushion, and carefully fitted cover at a time.

A working shop on 15th Avenue

Our Brooklyn upholstery shop is at 6901 15th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11228. Here, Igor Skipalskiy brings more than 40 years of upholstery experience to furniture for homes and businesses. Chairs, sofas, cushions, and custom seating each bring a different set of questions to the worktable.

Start with photographs of the whole piece and close views of worn or damaged areas. Approximate measurements and a few notes about how you use the furniture help explain the project. If you have a fabric sample or an inspiration image, share that too. Please contact the shop before visiting or bringing furniture.

Call (917) 596-8614, email Skippyupholstery@hotmail.com, or get directions to the workshop.

Inside our Brooklyn upholstery shop

A cover is only one part of an upholstered piece. Cushioning, supports, seams, and the underlying structure can all affect the result. We discuss the work your furniture needs before settling on a direction. For built-in seating, photographs of the surrounding space are useful as well as measurements of the seat.

Explore upholstery materials before choosing a cover, and read about our craftsmanship for a closer look at fitting and finishing. Our services overview brings together furniture upholstery, repairs, and specialist seating work.

Whether you are refreshing one favorite chair or planning seating for a business, request an estimate with photos and your location. Ask about the practical details before arranging to bring a piece to the shop. You can also explore our service area to start the conversation. First, photograph the front, back, and sides of your piece. Then note any loose joints or uneven cushions. These details help us understand the work before you arrange a visit.
